About the client:

After large investment in state–of–the–art business facilities for the area, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council required a fresh approach with their marketing materials to improve their chances of attracting suitable businesses to fill the space. We at Autografik had the responsibility of developing a presentable brand that would replace the existing confused and outdated materials, which incorporated old council logos and failed to represent the beauty of the area effectively.

What we did for them:

From the initial problems that were faced It was noted that this specific department of the council needed to stand out with marketing material that would be immediately identifiable and that could incorporate all the relevant branding of the council. It was also seen as essential to promote the forward thinking of the council’s responsibility to a growing area.

Autografik produced an Inward Investment Pack, Exhibition Material and stationary that encourages positive perceptions of the area by showcasing the landscapes, lifestyle opportunities and high class facilities.

With a bold colour scheme of black and red incorporating snapshot images of an adventurous, modern and dynamic location for growing business, the new materials work to inspire potential investor’s belief that Blaenau Gwent is the perfect place to develop.

The outcome:

Initial feedback from the council is that the work had been “turning heads”. Developing a brand and using positive aspects of the area has shown Blaenau Gwent can compete as a serious area for economic development, attracting investment from businesses from around the world.
